Sheena Glennie 78 of Judith Gap passed away peacefully on Friday evening, April 15 2016 in the Wheatland Memorial Healthcare in Harlowton. Sheena was born on February 27, 1938 in Turriff, Scotland to James and Sissie Bruce. Sheena had many fond memories of living in close proximity to her large extended family in the Scottish countryside and, along with her brothers Sandy and Jim, enjoyed helping on her parents’ farm.
Always adventuresome, Sheena worked in Halifax, Nova Scotia, for two years after completing school. Before returning home to Scotland, she traveled to Two Dot, Montana in summer of 1960 to visit the George Glennie family. While on vacation in Montana, she met Tom N. Glennie and they quickly became engaged. Their wedding took place in Turriff on September 4, 1961 and was followed by a honeymoon in the Scottish Highlands. Tom and Sheena lived in Livingston for several years while Tom served as the Park County extension agent. While in Livingston, they welcomed children Neil, Shona and Bruce before returning to the family ranch east of Judith Gap in 1966.
Sheena was an excellent cook and loved preparing large meals for family and friends. Her “lunches” for the annual branding crews and various hunting parties were legendary. Sheena loved visiting with her many friends and neighbors and delighted in any type of social event. An avid pinochle player, she belonged to various community-related clubs and especially enjoyed the ladies’ pinochle club that met monthly for many years.
A devoted mother, Sheena spent many hours transporting her children to all their school, 4-H and other extracurricular activities and looked forward to attending every event. Sheena loved children and the subsequent arrival of grandchildren greatly enriched her life.
Sheena was proud of her Scottish heritage and enjoyed her trips back to Scotland as well as hosting family and friends in Montana. After living in Montana for over 50 years, she still retained her distinctive Scottish accent.
Sheena is survived by her children Neil (Carla) Glennie and children Lauren, Katie, and Angus of Judith Gap; Shona (Scott) McHugh and children Alex and Tori of Helena; son Bruce (Erin) Glennie and children Ian, Andrew and Connor of Billings; sister-in-law Phyllis Bruce of Aberdeen, Scotland; nephews Andrew (Hazel) Bruce of Aberdeen, Scotland, Alec (Shona) Bruce of Dundee, Scotland, Joe Sandor of Tacoma, WA, and Rick (Pam) Sandor of Lewistown; and niece Audrey (Bill) Morrison of Dundee, Scotland.
Sheena was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 48 years, her parents, her brothers, and her sister-in-law Mary (Glennie) Sandor.
Funeral services for Sheena Glennie will be Thursday, April 21st, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the Perkins Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow in the Harlowton Cemetery. The Perkins Funeral Home is assisting the family.

my sincere sympathies to Sheena's family. When she and Tom were in Livingston they lived in the next block down from us, and I remember her well; her sweet charm and accent....
May your hearts find rest in Isaiah 33:17, until you are all reunited with her....

I felt so privileged to have met Sheena--don't know anyone that made me laugh like she did! Will never forget the first time she had Doug and myself over for "lunch".....an 8 course meal lunch! We still laugh about the time she told me son he was "so pretty, he would have been a lovely girl". I remind him of that often :) My deepest sympathies for the loss of your amazing mother.
