Frank (the Tank) Garfield Grischbowsky, 59, of Ryegate, Montana, passed away in his home on March 29, 2025. Frank was born on October 6, 1965, to Patricia and Garfield Grischbowsky in Point Pleasant, New Jersey.
Frank was a retired Army Staff Sergeant, having served in Saudi Arabia, Iraq, and Afghanistan, in addition to several other combat-ready Army posts. After retiring from the Army, he worked as a mechanic and loved working with wood, making furniture, bowls, plates, and the like.
Frank is survived by his wife Evelyn of 31 years, daughters Melanie and Diane Kirkendall, son Samual McRae Grischbowsky, his granddaughters Tru Davis, Hannah Kirkendall, Destiny, and Justice Knoblock, sisters Carol Wisniewski of New Jersey and Edythe Fanning of Tennessee, and his many surviving brothers in arms.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, July 19, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. at Carl’s Cove in Deadman’s Basin, Ryegate, MT. Military Honors will be provided by the United States Army Honor Guard and the Montana American Legion.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be given to The Wounded Warrior Project or the ASPCA.
