Joseph Patrick Kotan & Phyllis Ann Kotan

With profound grief and, yet, joy, we announce the deaths of Joseph Patrick and Phyllis Ann Kotan.

Married for 70 years and 354 days, our precious “G&G” took their last breaths just four days apart. Gram loved all things about the sun, which gave both quite a farewell of beautiful sunsets and the northern lights for their final week. While we will miss them terribly, we know these sweethearts are together dancing through rays of sunshine, continuing their love story.

Survivors include their children, Patrick Kotan (Debbie), Joan Kotan (Joe), and Steven Kotan, eight grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren. They were preceded in death by their daughter, Janet Kotan, and two grandchildren. “G&G” were a constant presence in times of celebration and sorrow.

Their service will be held in the very church where Joseph was an altar boy and where the couple was married. Please join us for a funeral mass at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Harlowton, Montana, on Saturday, November 29, at 11:30 AM. Interment to follow. A luncheon will be held at the Musselshell Steakhouse at 11 Central Avenue North in Harlowton, Montana, from 1:30 to 3:30 PM.
