Nathan Lee Davis

April 26, 1954 — February 21, 2026

Harlowton

Nathan Lee Davis 71 passed away peacefully with his wife of 50 years by his side on February 21, 2026 in Wheatland Memorial Healthcare. He was born April 26, 1954 at Wheatland Memorial Hospital the son of Alfred and Irene (Lode) Davis. He attended school in Harlowton and graduated from Harlowton High School in 1972.

After graduating, Nathan went to work for a local ranch. He continued working and living the lifestyle of cowboy; working with horses, and cattle. Later he guided for Crow Creek Outfitters; a job he thoroughly enjoyed.

On August 9, 1975 he married the love of his life Debra Toavs. They had one daughter and remained in Harlowton where they enjoyed their 50 years together.

Nathan was happiest when in the mountains on his horse or sitting around a campfire surrounded by family and friends. He loved spending countless hours in a gym watching his daughter, grandchildren and many other community children playing whatever sport they were involved in.

He leaves behind a legacy of laughter, kindness, and a reminder to ride high, love deeply and never pass up a chance to cheer someone on. Though the saddle is empty and the mountains a little quieter, his spirit rides on in every sunset over the peaks and every burst of laughter among family and friends. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

He is survived by his wife Debbie and daughter Jenny (Shawn) Peters, grandchildren Brilee, Roan, Ryker, Paislee and Curley all of Harlowton; brothers Roy (Mary Helen) of Kalispell, MT, Lynn of Two Dot, MT; sisters Martha (Rick) Bouchard of Billings, MT and Sarah (Chuck) Brown of Greensboro, NC; brother-in-law Dick (Debbie) Toavs in Texas; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law Chuck Toavs.
